Job Overview:
The Controller of Examinations is responsible for ensuring a robust, transparent, and credible examination system at the university. The role includes overseeing examination policies, maintaining secrecy, managing results processing, and upholding the integrity of assessment procedures under the guidance of the Board of Governors and Rector.
Key Responsbilities
- Develop and implement policies for a fair, transparent, and efficient examination system.
- Prepare and publish the annual examination calendar, ensuring smooth scheduling and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the secure printing, distribution, and confidentiality of question papers and examination materials.
- Supervise the evaluation process, result compilation, and timely announcement of results.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and accreditation standards in all examination processes.
- Investigate and take appropriate action on examination-related misconduct or irregularities.
- Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to maintain assessment integrity and fairness.
- Address student and faculty queries related to examinations, results, and academic records.
- Implement technology-driven solutions for examination management, including online assessments and digital records.
- Organize and oversee university convocation and merit award ceremonies.
- Lead and manage the examination department team, ensuring high performance and continuous process improvement.
- The Controller shall exercise such other powers and performs such other duties as may be prescribed or assigned to him, from time to time, by the Rector.
Educational Requirements and Work Experience
- MS/MPhil from an HEC-recognized university
- 10-15 years of relevant experience from Public/Private University/College
- Maximum age should not be more than 55 years
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and report writing
- Experience in managing large-scale examination systems.
